Experience the death and deacy of 17th Century Cambridge on our gruesome theatrical walking tour this Halloween . Discover how the City was ravaged by the Great Plague and that the dead are very much still with us...
Hear the Plague Bell toll through the ancient streets as you're led by lamp-light to old burial sites by celebrity of the age, Nell Gwynn, who's got lost travelling to her Newmarket house. Help her Journey home in the nocturnal gloom and visit the Pest Houses and Plague Pits along the way.
Meet with an old Cambridge student, Samuel Pepys, and hear his terrible tales of death and the Disease Ridden. Find out the Blood soaked crazy cures for plague and pox. See the town buildings where the dying were shut inside - whilst the rich fled the town.
But be warned, for those who show signs of the Black Boils will have to be treated by our Plague Doctor - and he's not known for his bedside manner...
